Feeling tone, or vedana, a frequently underemphasized component of meditation, plays a profound role in shaping our worldview. Most emotional challenges originate from our mind's response to these feeling tones. By developing an understanding of our feeling tones, we gain the ability to recognize our inherent sensitivities and biases, which in turn gives us the space to respond rather than react. And neuroscience agrees.
